Dashboard
The Dashboard is the default view when you open S3 Manager. It shows a high-level overview of all your configured accounts without scanning object storage or reading object counts, so it opens quickly regardless of how many objects you have.
Summary cards
Section titled “Summary cards”Three cards appear at the top of the Dashboard:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Accounts | Total number of configured storage accounts |
| Buckets | Total number of buckets visible across all accounts (fetched from each account’s bucket list) |
| Providers | Each provider in use and the number of accounts configured for it |
The Buckets count is populated by fetching the bucket list from each account. This is a lightweight metadata call — no objects are listed or scanned.
Account breakdown
Section titled “Account breakdown”Below the summary cards, each account is listed as a card. Each card shows:
- The account’s label and its provider badge.
- The number of buckets in that account.
- A row of clickable bucket chips — click any chip to jump straight to that bucket in the Files view.
Clicking the account name (not a bucket chip) opens the account in the Files view.
If the bucket list for an account is still loading, the card shows a loading message. If the fetch fails, the card shows an error message instead of the bucket list.
When there are no accounts
Section titled “When there are no accounts”If you have not added any accounts yet, the Dashboard shows a message directing you to the Files view to add your first account. See Accounts and Providers to get started.
Populating the Dashboard
Section titled “Populating the Dashboard”The Dashboard populates automatically from the accounts you have already added. There is nothing to configure on the Dashboard itself — add or remove accounts and the Dashboard updates the next time you navigate to it.
