Account
The Account page (accessible from your user menu) lets you manage your personal settings: password, two-factor authentication (2FA), passkeys, and interface language.
Profile information
Section titled “Profile information”The top of the page shows your name and email address as read-only information. These fields are set when your account is created or assigned by an administrator; they cannot be changed from this page.
Changing your password
Section titled “Changing your password”Fill in the three password fields and click Update password:
- Current password — your existing password (required to authorize the change).
- New password — your desired new password.
- Confirm password — must match the new password.
Forced password change
Section titled “Forced password change”If an administrator has required you to change your password, you will be redirected to a password change screen after login and cannot access the app until you set a new one. Enter and confirm your new password to proceed.
Two-factor authentication
Section titled “Two-factor authentication”The Two-factor authentication section shows whether 2FA is currently enabled on your account.
Enabling 2FA
Section titled “Enabling 2FA”- Click Enable two-factor authentication. This generates a TOTP secret and displays a QR code enrollment screen.
- Open your authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy) and scan the QR code. If your app does not support QR scanning, enter the secret key shown beneath the QR code manually.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by your app into the confirmation field and click Confirm.
- After confirmation, your recovery codes are displayed once. Store these codes somewhere safe — each code can be used once to log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Using 2FA at login
Section titled “Using 2FA at login”After entering your email and password, you will be redirected to a verification page. Enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app and submit. If you do not have access to your authenticator app, click the option to enter a recovery code instead.
Regenerating recovery codes
Section titled “Regenerating recovery codes”If you have 2FA enabled and want to generate a fresh set of recovery codes (e.g. because you suspect the existing ones have been compromised), enter your current password and click Regenerate recovery codes. The new codes are shown once immediately after. All previous recovery codes become invalid.
Disabling 2FA
Section titled “Disabling 2FA”Enter your current password and click Disable two-factor authentication. This removes the TOTP secret and all recovery codes from your account.
Passkeys
Section titled “Passkeys”The Passkeys section lets you register device-bound credentials (Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, hardware security keys) as a login method. Passkeys replace typing a password at login.
Registering a passkey
Section titled “Registering a passkey”- Enter a descriptive name for the passkey in the name field (e.g. “MacBook Touch ID”).
- Click Add passkey.
- Your browser will prompt you to authenticate with the platform credential (biometric, PIN, or security key).
After a successful registration, the passkey appears in the list with its name, authenticator description, and the date it was last used.
Using a passkey at login
Section titled “Using a passkey at login”On the login page, choose the passkey option (or proceed through the 2FA challenge page — if you have passkeys registered, a link to use a passkey is shown there). Your browser will prompt you to authenticate with the registered credential.
Removing a passkey
Section titled “Removing a passkey”Click Remove next to the passkey and confirm. The passkey is deleted from the server. If it was the only passkey registered, you will need to use your password to log in again.
Interface language
Section titled “Interface language”Your preferred language is saved to your account and also stored in a browser cookie so it applies even before you log in.
To change the language, use the language selector (typically found in your user menu or at the bottom of the Account page). The following languages are available:
| Code | Language |
|---|---|
en | English |
de | Deutsch |
nl | Nederlands |
fr | Français |
The selection takes effect immediately and persists for one year via cookie as well as being saved to your account.
