Scheduled Reports
Scheduled reports send a recurring summary of your project’s data to a list of email recipients on a schedule you define. Each report has a type (what it covers), a frequency (when it is sent), a reporting period (the window it summarises), and one or more delivery formats.
For a one-off, on-demand PDF you download in the browser, see Statistics & Reports instead — scheduled reports reuse the same underlying analytics but deliver them automatically by email.
The Reports list
Section titled “The Reports list”Open Reports from the sidebar. The table lists every scheduled report in the project:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The label you gave the report |
| Type | Project summary, Single link, or Site analytics |
| Frequency | Daily, Weekly, or Monthly |
| Next run | When the report will next be sent (or a dash if inactive) |
| Active | Whether the schedule is currently running |
Each row has actions to send now, edit, and delete, plus a status pill you can click to toggle the report active/inactive. Any project member can create and manage reports.
Creating a report
Section titled “Creating a report”Click Create report and fill in the form.
An internal label for the report (e.g. “Weekly link summary – client X”). It is not shown to recipients beyond the email subject.
Type and subject
Section titled “Type and subject”Choose what the report covers:
| Type | Subject | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Project summary | — (whole project) | Total and unique clicks, trend, top links, and breakdowns by country, browser, OS, and referrer for every link in the project. |
| Single link | A short link you pick | The same click metrics scoped to one link, plus recent click events. |
| Site analytics | A site you pick | Visits, page views, goals, and top events for one site from the Insights/Analytics area. |
When you pick Single link or Site analytics, a second dropdown appears to choose the specific link or site. The subject must belong to the current project.
Frequency
Section titled “Frequency”Choose when the report is sent:
- Daily — every day.
- Weekly — pick the weekday.
- Monthly — pick the day of the month (1–28).
All due reports are sent at a fixed hour of the day in the application’s timezone (configured by the operator — see the note below).
Reporting period
Section titled “Reporting period”Independently of the frequency, choose the window the report summarises:
- Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days (relative to the send time), or
- Previous month (the last complete calendar month).
This lets you, for example, send weekly but always report on the last 30 days.
Formats
Section titled “Formats”The report is always delivered as an HTML email. You can additionally attach:
- CSV — the raw figures (per-day series and breakdown tables) for further processing.
- PDF — a rendered copy of the report.
Tick the formats you want; both are optional.
Recipients
Section titled “Recipients”Enter one or more email addresses. The list is pre-filled with your own address; add or remove addresses as needed (up to 20). Recipients do not need a Marketix account — the report is emailed directly to them.
Active
Section titled “Active”Leave Active on to run the report on schedule. Turn it off to pause it without deleting it; you can re-activate it later from the list.
Sending a test now
Section titled “Sending a test now”Use Send now on any report (in the list or the edit form) to send it immediately to your own email address only — regardless of the configured recipient list. This lets you preview the content and formatting without waiting for the next scheduled run and without emailing the recipients. Sending now does not change the report’s schedule.
Editing and deleting
Section titled “Editing and deleting”Click a row or the edit action to change any setting; saving recomputes the next run time. Deleting a report removes it and its schedule; it does not affect the underlying links, sites, or their data.
