Users and Access

User accounts in Inventorix represent people who can own assets and, optionally, sign in to the panel. Both capabilities are managed from the Allgemein > Users section.

The users list shows all people in the system, whether or not they can sign in.

The navigation badge for the Users section shows the count of enabled vs. disabled logins (e.g. 3/2 means 3 enabled, 2 disabled).

Click New user from the users list. The form is organised into tabs.

On the edit form (not create), a Display name (Anzeigename) field also appears. It defaults to firstname lastname and can be regenerated from the first/last name fields using the refresh icon button.

On edit, the e-mail and password management are visible only when Login enabled is on. To reset a password, disable and re-enable the toggle, which will re-show the password field.

The Assets tab on the user form shows a searchable, multi-select combobox listing all assets in the system. Assets are displayed as (Manufacturer) Model name. You can assign or remove asset ownership directly from here.

From the users list, click the Edit action on any row. The edit form adds:

  • Created at and Last modified at timestamps in the header.
  • The Display name field (hidden on create, shown on edit).

From the users list, click Delete on the row. Bulk delete is also available via the checkbox selection and the bulk actions toolbar.

On the user edit page, an Assets relation manager tab below the form shows all assets currently owned by that user. The table includes columns for state, asset type, place, model, serial number, purchase date, purchase type, purchase price, warranty end, and invoice.

From this tab you can also create new assets directly assigned to the user, or remove existing ones.

  • Assets — set an asset’s owner from the asset form
  • Handovers — formally transfer asset ownership with a signed record
